Hello!

We are writing to inform you of, and welcome you to, Boulder Trail Dental! Formerly Lake Superior Dental Associates-Hermantown, Boulder Trail Dental is a reimagining of our practice and we invite you to continue your care with us.

Drs. Meaghan Morrell-Huot and Jeffrey Polzin have formed an independent entity, focused on you and your family. As an independent practice, our team, resources, and attention will all be in one place. Our focus has always been based on your needs and we will continue to provide you all the services you have relied on, and more. Our practice philosophy is like trail etiquette in how we treat others as we meet them along the way and it guides us in your dental care:

  1. Right of Way: We yield to doing the right thing, and then doing that thing right. Right of care to us means that we listen and respect you and put your needs above our own. We want you to feel safe and cared for while on your journey.
  2. Be Aware of Others: Our commitment to patients and team members is our top priority and we will strive to be considerate, positive, supportive, and confidential in all regards to those we serve.
  3. Stay on the Trail: The Boulder Trail Dental team will help guide you according to your needs so that while on your oral health journey you do not get lost. Prevention is always the best trail to follow!
  4. Leave No Trace: We understand that no two people experience a dental setting the same way. It is our goal that everyone leaves feeling that a quality service was provided, you feel cared for, and that you look forward to your next visit.
  5. Be Prepared: Having the proper knowledge and skills at our disposal is paramount to keeping you on the right path. This includes a lifelong commitment to continuing education, advanced technology, and a well-rounded team. Our role is also to help anticipate the challenges of treatment preparation and outcome so that you feel comfortable no matter what you may face.
  6. Don’t Feed the Wildlife: Dental disease can happen to anyone and we want to be your partner in prevention by sharing information and techniques to keep bacterial wildlife in check.
Our name comes from our proximity to the first section of the Hermantown Connector Trail System open to hiking, biking, and other non-motorized uses. As in whole body health, we felt that this embodied our approach to the care of lifelong oral health in our community. We love what we do and we look forward to sharing the trail with you!

Nothing has changed for any of your upcoming appointments, and there are no actions that you need to take regarding your dental records or insurance information. We will continue to offer the same services you are accustomed to, including hygiene care, insurance navigation, in-house oral health plans, payment options, a clean and safe environment, and all the treatment options you have come to appreciate.
